Avast! Facebook goes Pirate.

April 30, 2009

In honor of my swashbuckling boss, I had just had to share the most recent Facebook find that I have stumbled across. Although it doesn’t compare with Scrabulous (the best and most missed app of all times), it is quite entertaining for a quick bit of fun. To enjoy, just scroll to the bottom of your Facebook page. On the left hand corner, click English. Your language options will pop up. Choose English-Pirate and proceed to giggle.

And to make this post not a complete waste of space, here are a few other Facebook statistics that are impressive. I had no idea Facebook turned 5 in February. I can’t believe I missed it, they should have reminded me. According to, there are over 220 million users. The average user has 120 friends on the site. More than 15 million users update their statuses at least once each day. More than 3.5 million users become fans of Pages each day. More than 850 million photos uploaded to the site each month. More than 24 million pieces of content (web links, news stories, blog posts, notes, photos, etc.) shared each month.

And now can get your Facebook fix in Pirate. What more could you ask for?

Yar! I love pirate talk. I might have to go as a pirate this Halloween and make Sweetie a peg-leg pirate dawg.
