    Wouldn’t you say the “magic” is not trying to damn hard?! This was a kid, in his room, with a funny song, being stupid.

    Or the magic is being risky, stepping out of one’s comfort zone, trying new things in new media and seeing if it works?

    I think we can’t force something into too tight a box to get “viral” with a brand. BK did it with the idea of a chicken in a garter belt married to the tag line “have it your way”. GEICO decided to so some wacky stuff with a caveman and a lizard. Cadbury didn’t even make the tie back to ANYTHING in using a gorrilla and Phil Collins.

    The “most interacted with” stuff requires an a great creative idea and the guts to try it. Magic . . . hopefully.
